As of today, Chicago zoning certifications are taking anywhere from 2-4 weeks to be received from the City. Documents in Cook County seem to be taking at least 35 business days to show up recorded. The Cook County Recorder’s office has indicated that their employees will be working weekends to clear the backlog. Unfortunately, these kinds of governmental delays have become commonplace during and possibly as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
